Imagine a world where the Green New Deal is fully implemented.
It will be a static, stratified world with the mega-wealthy at the top of the pyramid and everyone else at the bottom, struggling daily to survive.
The means of ascent, whose emergence spelled the demise of the last feudal period, will have been permanently destroyed, so that the elite will not have to fear a loss of their total power over us.
We have tons of cheap energy. Robotics changes the world, as we don’t need masses of people to make everything. Anywhere can make anything. We could be in such an amazing moment in history. Instead we are allowing ignoramuses to destroy prosperity.
So frustrating. We can see the good future so clearly. The problem is so easily solved. Dump catastrophic climate change as dominant policy … let people invent, create, problem solve, fly.
A world class manufacturing center. Tons of water, tons of energy, raw materials
Galore, easy access to major markets. We need degree programs in robotics and computer manufacturing. In ten years we would have six years of graduates. Make 500-1000 grads a year. And there would be 1000s of startups. Most would
Fail, but some wouldn’t. We could change the worlds economy.
There are currently 13 thousand diversity equity and inclusion jobs being advertised in the UK. Everything is on fire and we are now obsessed with the new religion of multi genders, sexual preference and skin pigmentation. At least we won’t have to turn the light off on the way out.
I am a boomer who knows many other boomers. We know that climate change is always happening. I think if you live in a big city you may not be able to understand that concept as well as people who live in the country who work and till the land for crops and gardening. Plants breathe in carbon dioxide and make oxygen for us to breathe. This has been going on since the earth came into existence and will continue unless stupidity gets the upper hand. Even Greta has redacted her stupid declarations. What we are seeing now are Weather Wars going on by the powers that be to cause disruptions in our food supplies, destruction of infrastructure, forests, fields, cities, and wildlife habitats to name a few. May God help us to overcome this evilness.
When the One Percenters decided to destroy all means of ascent so that the peasants (that's you and me) could never again threaten to take away their power.
The young climate change activists are merely the willing dupes of their cynical bosses.
Suddenly the declaration, "I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees" really, truly resonates. I will do whatever I can to maximize the chances for my young ones. I can't bear the idea of living to see them suffer, and I did not give my all.
Macron sat in a room with gold leaf applied to the walls telling us we have to start sacrificing. If ever there was a Marie Antoinette moment....

Call it The Revenge of the One Percent.

BC is uniquely positioned to become

You think exactly like me. BB could be a major powerhouse. And the recreational opportunities would attract the top people. How do we make it happen?
Separate from Canada.
I’m not being flippant. I think it’s our only option.
Man! I wish I were 40. Not 71. There are soooo many opportunities. Big time ones.
Yeah, but we could seed the ideas everywhere. Somehow.

Grotesque. Here too. It is going to be a bad winter there, and horrible political blowback.

When did weather become climate?

You can’t vote your way out of communism. You have to shoot your way out.
