I stopped watching Media (news) 15 yrs ago having worked with them. One had the courage to tell me of lies and manipulation of fact and that retractions were made but, obscured. I now get 3 channels only via antenna. I watch Big Bang Theory as I am a science nerd myself. As the gain-of-function virus plandemic progressed, I watched the show more closely. It coincidently ended in 2019 just before the virus hit. The writers knew something about this virus and almost every show has a sound bite that describes what was to occur. Some of the most obvious are by Bernadette the pharma microbiologist. An episode talks of pharma creating a problem then creating a cure, just like Pfizer…create mRNA kill shots that increase heart failure and cancer then create more drugs to deal with those issues, those new drugs create new health issues and on and on…see where I’m going? The real issue with MAGA was not about Making America Great Again, because it has always been great, but that it dared to claim open-mindedness was a sin and not a virtue.
And there we part ways. Trump's statements I see are used to flush out those who feel threatened and misconstrue his meaning. He is for local control over big government and for free speech. He never declared open-mindedness a sin. He was and still is for individual rights vs the state, free speech and elections voted by citizens only with IDs not by non-citizens or voter fraud.
We have always been a culture of immigrants. But...immigrants who believed in working to support the same right as those who came before them i.e., work hard, treat others fairly. Trump stands for this by vetting immigrants as we have done in the past. We do not want the US to be a playground for sociopaths which the current leadership in many cities and DC have been fostering.
MAGA in my view is about getting back to the basics of the US Constitution and moving government power to local control where the citizens can have more direct input.
Until we are able to minimize their power AND hold them accountable we might have a chance to right the ship. It may be too late though. Time will tell.
I think the momentum has turned in our favor. They are desperate and will do evermore desperate things. We need to hold our ground, push a little harder and they wlll consume each other in the battle to carve up what power they perceive they have.
We have to continue to remain strong and be critical whenever they step over other's rights.

I stopped watching Media (news) 15 yrs ago having worked with them. One had the courage to tell me of lies and manipulation of fact and that retractions were made but, obscured. I now get 3 channels only via antenna. I watch Big Bang Theory as I am a science nerd myself. As the gain-of-function virus plandemic progressed, I watched the show more closely. It coincidently ended in 2019 just before the virus hit. The writers knew something about this virus and almost every show has a sound bite that describes what was to occur. Some of the most obvious are by Bernadette the pharma microbiologist. An episode talks of pharma creating a problem then creating a cure, just like Pfizer…create mRNA kill shots that increase heart failure and cancer then create more drugs to deal with those issues, those new drugs create new health issues and on and on…see where I’m going? More money and a constant big money stream for them. Take down the unelected acronym agencies FBI, CIA, WEF, UN, CDC, FDA etc etc and humanity has a chance.
Absolutely. During the lockdowns I started watching old shows from the late 70’s-80’s like TAXI and Barney Miller. On Barney Miller there were many episodes about who runs the world and such. Even one on getting jabbed cause they thought a criminal they had in the cage had some contagious disease;) I watched BB also when it was on and then did some research on the actress who played Amy. She didn’t want to take the jabs but she eventually did because of all the backlash on social media about how she raised her kids holistically, etc and they said she was crazy. She also is an extremely religious liberal Jew which I found so sad as she is pro OBiden and so brainwashed. All these tv “characters” are just that and easily manipulated and brainwashed. When I read about an actor I like I get so disappointed when I learn how rage filled they are with TDS and the climate bs. I’ll stick to my dog and cat shows lol 😝

My mom got rid of TV when I was 5 in the 70s. We were the only family in school who didn’t watch TV and so much of what kids talked about was TV shows. In 90s I fell in with the creative/granola left and for first time was around others who didn’t watch TV. It’s so awesome to see so many people moving away from the programming now, I’m not such a freak amtmore.

I often resort to watching my soul lifting films like Jean de Florette/ Manon of the Spring, Belle et Sebastian, Cinema Paradiso. Start there. I’ve seen them over and over . Yes all those Netflix series are deplorable.
Agree and although I find most of the Netflix series to be un-watchable, I do admit that I am fascinated by two of the most political ones: House of Cards and Designated Survivor.
What I can't believe is in both series it seems that the protagonists are all ultra woke, liberal DemonRats who are proud of the evil and corrupt things that they do.
Kevin Spacey in particular really nails the perversion and corruption of his character Frank Underwood with no apologies either. It is fascinating to see- sort of like watching a Cobra or Black Mama doing their dance of death.
During the Saville times in the UK there was also the Kincorra House boys home scandal in Northern Ireland. Boys were being abused and pimped out. This was in 1980 and it took 35 years to even start to get an inquiry. It allegedly involved higher ups in the police, government (including lords) and some Loyalist paramilitaries. It got serious enough that gay men were banned for a time working in kids homes. It still hasn’t been resolved. The latest decision was it was a failing of local police. No one wants to talk about it.
