I prefer the written word on a page. I can have a conversation with it. Podcasts may be for folks with more time or a better memory than mine. If you post a point by point written summary I will be happy to read that.

A million times, yes!!!! It's possible to speed them up, of course, but I don't like doing that. And I can read in fifteen minutes what would take me an hour to listen to.

I like both. Sometimes I can take the time to sit and read, sometimes I need to multi task, such as unload the dishwasher and clean the kitchen.

Elizabeth, thanks for linking to your discussion with JHK. Loved it! What you offer for $30/year (essentially 60 cents/week, therefore most weeks = 30 cents/post) is amazing!

I use the Brave browser. I've been reading MzNickson for quite awhile with no worries. Today, for the first time, I got this dialogue box: "Widevine is sometimes needed to play media on a webpage. It’s a Google extension loaded from Google servers which Brave cannot inspect. By installing, you’ll agree to Google’s terms of use." I reckon there must be a bit of Google's proprietary code in Mr. Kunstler's media. I opened another window and loaded a few of MsNickson's other articles. No Widevine in any of them. I do not trust Google. Not even one little tiny bit...

I listened to this podcast. Great discussion. Spot on!

I would pay $5 to hear a 5-minute summary edit of this podcast. I can’t listen to hour-long+ discussions.

You and I and a lot of others, sir. There should be a transcript provided. We can read much faster than we can listen. We would like to have the time to spare for them. Sometimes, yes, we have. Most of the time, no, we do not. And we like them or we wouldn't be subscribing to them.

I downloaded the link which was only a link back to the page, unable to watch or hear anything.

Go to the next one down. Apple podcasts, I didn't have to download anything.

I tried doing what you suggested before I posted; after clicking on the start button I'm redirected to another screen which has a "play" button and when I click it I'm informed that to watch explicit content, I need to log in to my Apple account and I don't have an account because I'm living in Thailand and I don't have an iPhone, iPad, iMac or any other Apple product.

I'm sorry it's not working for you.

I loved listening to the two of you. More expressive, I think. Listen, let the mind wander. Relieved to have break from reading! 😁
