What fascinates me about the situation is that even as they lie and mislead, they are destroying their employers, careers, and profession. Taibbi, Greenwald, Nickson, and others are leading the way to a better future.

Wanna take them down? Quit pandering to the MSM. No more TV or cable news, no more social media news, no more radio, magazines and newspaper news. They will be virtually powerless if they have no eyes and ears paying attention to their propaganda and lies.

I quit TV news years ago. Some years back they weren't allowed to give one sided political "advertising".

Some things good pop up on YouTube but will quickly be banned in favor of MSM propaganda.

If we cannot correct their evil lies, they will one day have it blow up in their faces and also ours.

Once upon a time, I worked in a technical job at a tv station in a major market. Actually 15 years. It does things to you; you become a news junkie, since your livelihood depends on... the news. It makes you paranoid and scared, since all you hear about is killings, assaults and rapes.

When my job was phased out to make room for a gay man who was a former employee, I stopped watching the local news. Soon after that, I stopped watching cable news. Then... I gave up on the radio.

My stress levels decreased exponentially.

I know what's happening, but I can chose the information I want and not be bombarded by things I don't want.

I imagine, you, like me, can easily verify what you read and see on the interweb is true or just carefully crafter propaganda, right?

Expand full comment
shibumi's avatar

Of course.

But honestly, it's tiring at times, and honestly, as I look around at those who have their eyes shut and believe the propaganda, they are much, much happier.

Expand full comment
Michael K.'s avatar

That is honest. Yes they are far ‘happier’ now — not that ‘being happy’ is something I strive for. It’s the world of my enemies . . . why should I expect to ‘be happy’ here? Later, those who love the truth and real justice will be the happy ones. And the weak and evil folks, including the eye-shutters, will be very very unhappy.

I cut the cable over 20 years ago along with newsprint and am amazed at how easily transfixed I can become when I walk into a room with a television set. They have them everywhere now. There at the jiffy lube. the tire shop, the dmv, the doc in a box etc. At least now, I'm aware of it and can do something about it.

That will help, but the talking-points media (more accurate term that MSM, I think) are now essentially recruiters of the deranged. 'Mainstream' implies alternative media are tributaries, paying tribute to brand-names. The talking-points media (let's call them TPM) take direction and talking-points from Government agencies, just as if they were an extension of staff, which is what they are. The 'journalists' in such positions are wanabes, wishing they were at the center of the action. They are trying out for some future official position, aping the official news-feeders. That's all they know how to do.

Do you thinks it’s likely the change in journalistic standards in 2014 is a byproduct of the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012, which reversed the original Acts 1948 rules, and thus made it legal to disseminate propaganda within the US?

I would like to think a reasoned and well-researched expose of the woke journalism industry would 'take down' the Regime Medea . . . but it won't. The effort must still be made, however, in hopes of swaying those few still inhabiting the Middle.

The enemy doesn't care about facts, truth, merit, or anything else from the Terrible Slavery days of long-gone 'Patriarchal' America. Those are Oppressor Values. They care about Getting Their Way and consolidating more power. NOTHING else matters.

When I was a kid journalism was a buncha hard scrappers like Mike Royko, with a smattering of the most excellent females, like Dorothy Kilgallen. That was Old Evil America.

Journalists in New Amerika are woke, feminist, and inflexible, or they aren't allowed to be journalists with major platforms.

About Dorothy Kilgallen: She was looking into how Jack Ruby got into position to kill Oswald (the 1963 patsy) when she allegedly committed suicide. Her close friend Phyllis McGuire was quite certain Dorothy Kilgallen would never have killed herself. Please don’t confuse Feminism with the gender ideology movement.

There is a “Trans Style Guide” that instructs reporters to avoid using non-trans viewpoints along with other extreme bias.

Read it and weep for women who are being erased, targeted and having to share vulnerable spaces with men: https://styleguide.transjournalists.org

Thank you for your response, Jennifer Pierce.

I am not confused even a little about feminism nor about the 'gender ideology movement', whatever you construe that to be at momentary necessity. I am pleased to despise them both, and my Father does likewise.

I recognize you attempting to make a (false) distinction -- feminism is VERY different from 'gender ideology'. This is so you can continue to protect the sacred cow (feminism) that empowers and entitles you, and all females, while constructing a straw, uh, person in Bad Gender Ideology to take the blame for the intentional malice and iniquity dished-out to boys and men the past four decades.

You close with an appeal to emotion -- a la Michelle -- WHO WILL SAVE OUR GIRLS! hoping to sway by pathetic simp appeal. WOMEN ARE VULNERABLE AND IN DANGER!

Did anyone call out the handlers at each media place that have ultimate control of what can be said and what not can be said. They all belong to a certain cult. Liars for hire / confessions of a journalist article by Tyler Durden was a good read. The journalist learned the hard way. I imagine you did as well but maybe you cannot say the root cause of the control. Is it Satanic or a cult that is proof an agenda like the ones found in Russia ring true as time is proving and showing the ugly truth.

IF YOU HAD ANY DOUBT WHETHER THE NEWS SYSTEM IS THOROUGHLY CONTROLLED, THIS MIGHT REMOVE THAT DOUBT:

ABC News executive producer Ian Cameron is married to Susan Rice, National Security Adviser.

CBS President David Rhodes is the brother of Ben Rhodes, Obama's Deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications.

ABC News correspondent Claire Shipman is married to former Whitehouse Press Secretary Jay Carney

ABC News and Univision reporter Matthew Jaffe is married to Katie Hogan, Obama's Deputy Press Secretary

ABC President Ben Sherwood is the brother of Obama's Special Adviser Elizabeth Sherwood

CNN President Virginia Moseley is married to Clinton's former Deputy Secretary Tom Nides.

And the ultra-liberal New York times is owned by Carlos Slim, the richest citizen of MEXICO! What a great big happy family!
