Net Zero is Predator Class Policy
Using it, they will monetize air, land and water for themselves, in perpetuity
As mankind’s spiritual revival grows and expands and hundreds of thousands peel off from the corrupt and hectoring super-culture to find another way to live, market forces grin and make their plans. “Leave us you will?” they cackle. “Just wait till you get to your idyllic farm, your lovely bower filled with happy animals and garden beds.
”
“We already bought them. We bought the air you breathe, the water you drink, the earth you stand upon. And the world government let us. Oh, you might have been able to scrape together enough to buy a couple of acres, but you will have to pay to use them. With your life’s energy. Which we want. We want to plow you into the ground and make money from that. But first let us harvest you for data and taxes.”
How else do you think the entire market, all the banks, every major corporation, bought into “Climate Change”? Which is not happening, please see NASA and IPCC graphs below. They know it’s not happening. They know the science is exaggerated and false. They can read charts just like I can. Just like you can. They bought into it, and promote it because they mean to make money from it. They are desperate. All governments are broke, their debt burden almost doubled in the last three years. And interest rates are going up. All corporations struggle under vast amounts of debt, called Collateralized Debt Obligations, which fueled the market for the past 15 years. No one has invested in the corporations, most have been asset stripped, and used as collateral in an ever-expanding circle of debt and more debt. These power mad monsters need a new thing, a new digital bonanza, and Climate Change and Ecosystem Values are it.
I suppose you have to read The Lords of Easy Money to know how really bad it is. Steve Bannon said yesterday that if everyone read it, there would be a massive worldwide revolution the next day. Matt Taibbi, from the opposite end of the political spectrum agrees. The predator class in power has been so profoundly irresponsible that every single day we teeter on the edge of the worst financial collapse in history. Somewhat like the corruption from which the Puritans rose, so energized by the decadence of the late 16th century under Charles 1 they fled to a new land and created freedom for ordinary people for the first time in history.
May we be so fortunate.
In financial market terms this is known as the launch of a New Asset Class. In August, Biden’s White House issued an executive order allowing the monetization of air, water and land. It means that the environmental NGO’s, which have immiserated tens of millions throughout the developing world, driven millions off their land in the United States, burnt the western forests, and broken the water system, have decided to monetize in the following way:
Specialized corporations that (will) hold the rights to the ecosystem services produced on a given chunk of land, services like carbon sequestration or clean water.” These NACs will then maintain, manage and grow the natural assets they commodify, with the end of goal of maximizing the aspects of that natural asset that are deemed by the company to be profitable.
I can imagine these people with their endless credit, their made up money, and the prospect of extracting profits in perpetuity from the land, out there buying everything that is for sale and then forcing further sales by bidding up the price of rangeland and farmland and forest. It is a recipe for total clearance from the land of ordinary men and women. In the developing world, these organizations will destroy national boundaries and national wealth.
It's why Bill Gates is gobbling up farmland. From doing nothing, producing nothing and taking everything via that land, probably with borrowed money to be paid back by our grandchildren, he and his children unto the nth generation will profit.
.
“Put differently, NACs will not only allow ecosystems to become financial assets, but the rights to “ecosystem services”, or the benefits people receive from nature as well. These include food production, tourism, clean water, biodiversity, pollination, carbon sequestration and much more.”
As I detailed in Wednesday’s column, the intrusion of environmental NGO’s into the heartland - the forests, farms and ranges of every country - has been an unmitigated disaster for both people and lands. They are destroying resources, diminishing every year the bounty we need from the land. Since they are not resident anyplace but their weird horrible digital life, they don’t know how to manage and restore land, leaving it instead to biologists and academicians, activists and assorted madmen. Who use untested ideas and force them on the township or county they enter. The ideas fail, and they leave, embarrassed. And loathed beyond measure.
Why am I surprised? This is the most desperate ruling class in history. Like the disastrous economy they created, they teeter on the edge of endless prosecution and wealth confiscation.
It’s time we started thinking in terms of long long legal processes that eviscerate their wealth, with fines that reach into the billions. Rural people can pull together hundreds of cases against outfits like The Nature Conservancy, World Wildlife and the Sierra Club, given their depredations of resources, destroying the social infrastructure of town after town, county after county.1 Now that their backers have shown themselves, there is something to gain from endless prosecution, much is to be gained.
We have to take everything they have. That is the only way to stop them destroying the earth.
(Ht to Margaret Byfield of American Stewards for the research. Please follow their vital work. I know that pieces about rural issues isn’t as popular as amusing cultural pieces (which I love doing), but please send them to your friends and recommend my Substack. If you know rural newsletters, newspapers or producer newspapers, please let me know of them, so I can introduce myself. This is important, and too few are doing it. Thank you.)
