All of a sudden, my phone started blowing up with breaking news that protesters were staging an insurrection and storming the capital. I double checked that my streaming video feeds were “live” and turned up the volume - they were capturing different angles of people at the capital and the only thing of note were people climbing the scaffolding with flags. There was not one instance of violence that I could see, nor hear. I frantically searched different sites to see what I could find, and nothing matched up with the mainstream media’s narrative. I had been watching the event all day starting with Trump speech in the morning. It was clear to me in that moment that something was really really wrong.

I am also baffled by the lack of attention our currently naive western democrat voters display. They lack any desire to question or think critically about the stories fed them by a bias corrupted media in cahoots with the those who govern them. They are smugly satiated with their intake of daily headlines and foolishly convince themselves that “they are in the know”.

The most disturbing aspect to me is the lack of empathy for their fellow citizens. January 6th being the most illustrative to me. When I was a young girl my Grandmother would personalize every “not so nice” remark I would make about others. “What if that were your Mother, or brother or friend or even yourself?” This always snapped me back to consider my judgements that way. Her teaching left me with a gauge to check myself. “There but for the grace of God go I.”
I truly think that these people don’t believe they could ever be in the shoes of those they despise. “Those are the bad people and I’m one of the good people. And there is video of the cops moving the barricades and inviting them into the capitol. Then at least one of those cops were suicided or died of a stroke (???) in the coming days.

Great piece of critical observation on RFK Jr.'s Jan 6 take. He has no clue of the depth of the manipulation by the current leadership. He is not qualified for any leadership position if he cannot grasp these issues. I’ll never forget watching the events of January 6 in real time on three devices all with different live streaming independent media. All of a sudden, my phone started blowing up with breaking news that protesters were staging an insurrection and storming the capital. I double checked that my streaming video feeds were “live” and turned up the volume - they were capturing different angles of people at the capital and the only thing of note were people climbing the scaffolding with flags. There was not one instance of violence that I could see, nor hear. I frantically searched different sites to see what I could find, and nothing matched up with the mainstream media’s narrative. I had been watching the event all day starting with Trump speech in the morning. It was clear to me in that moment that something was really really wrong.
Another moment I’ll never forget. Later that evening Trump was banned from Twitter. I was sick to my stomach, my mind reeling - how can this be happening?! And worse, why are so many people okay with this?!
Jan 6 was a turning point for me for sure. Still makes me extremely upset. All those good people in prison and virtually no one even thinks, talks or cares about them. It’s appalling.

I am also baffled by the lack of attention our currently naive western democrat voters display. They lack any desire to question or think critically about the stories fed them by a bias corrupted media in cahoots with the those who govern them. They don’t even notice the silence by the media when a something is amiss like thousands of missing children. When I was a young girl my Grandmother would personalize every “not so nice” remark I would make about others. “What if that were your Mother, or brother or friend or even yourself?” This always snapped me back to consider my judgements that way. I truly think that these people don’t believe they could ever be in the shoes of those they despise. “Those are the bad people and I’m one of the good people. Someone else has already judged them for me so I can rest assured it’s ok to hate them.” It’s jarring to me that these would be my peers should I ever be the accused.
I know! It boggles my mind that highly educated people, had no independent thinking abilities. Recall, when Trump was elected, families cancelled family members and friends. They were totally captured and forced to be intolerant of other ideas, or even tolerate a family member or friend with an "opposing" idea. People we knew our entire lives, and they knew us(!), went bats#$t crazy - and have yet to relent in most cases. They left knowing "the content of their character" out of the equation.

I watched the above podcast. Perhaps you could watch it. It’s Patrick bet David and an astronomist. What I got from it made me question a lot of things. He said the earth can only last 1 billion more years. I know that’s a long time. However it’s not how long, but what will bring about its demise. I don’t remember exactly what he said about co2 and what it does to the planet, but it will lead to the end of all life here. He didn’t say anything about climate change. But it made me wonder what other scientists have figured out about the amount of co2 are currently producing and if they really are concerned about the time we have left? What do they know that we don’t? Anyway, I’m so confused lately. What is real, what isn’t? Why are we moving ever more steadily toward socialism/communism? So much of what is written here can be seen playing out in an almost identical fashion in the UK right now, with normal law-abiding people, sick to death of overwhelming immigration and the violent scum it brings with it, being labelled ‘Far Right Fascists’, ‘Rioters’, etc.
There is a war on reality and didn;'t just happen. Just don't buy the stories they tell-crafted by hands where hypocracy dwells! 9/11 was the false flag and precursor of what we are experiencing. Not one "Mouthpiece" will discuss the truth!
9/11 was the inauguration of the national security state. By design
The great constitutional lawyer, Lysander Spooner, in the mid 1800's warned against the ever increasing power of the state. The constitution won't protect us. Only a commitment to freedom (and private property rights) in the minds of the public will suffice. Sociopaths gravitate to centers of government power thus government itself must be resisted. As Spooner said, "But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case it is unfit to exist."
It’s hard for me to express just how much I appreciate you being here on SS. You are a Real journalist and, it seems, always have been. I know there are others on Substack, as well, but I grew up and lived in Canada up until about a year ago and only learned of you since leaving (I imagine I’m older, but we are likely somewhere in adjacent vintages). Most of my life I was apathetic toward current affairs and thought that, for example, “CBC had real journalismists” and many other good ol’ Canadian delusions about our “sovereign, free country”. I started waking up in the mid ‘oughts BT (Before Trump) by not watching TV (I did later watch all of Justified, though) not reading newspapers, and not listening to the radio. That allowed me to truly wake up around 2015ish AT (After Trump) and to eventually, happily and gratefully, bring me to your substack .
My first thought when I heard RFKjr talk to Tucker about saving our wildlife was Elizabeth needs to explain to him how his environmental work in B.C. destroyed a vibrant economy (the June 24 geo-engineering article): "Our forests, the largest industrial forest in the world, used to pay for health care and education before RFKJr came to town with his Hollywood glamor and law degree. Today our principal fiscal driver is public debt, international crime, money-laundering and human trafficking and instead of good resource-led jobs, people labor away in “tourism”, making minimum wage." I'm concerned about his stance on saving the wildlife if he thinks it's okay to pay that cost. It is NOT okay.
Working for a forestry company, I had the privilege of touring a sawmill in northern California. A young worker came over and pointed to the rafters. He explained those birds coming in and out were SPOTTED OWLS feeding their babies. The owls had been a fixture in the noisiest place on the planet--a sawmill! Yet the spotted owl was on the endangered species list and turned the forest industry on its head.
And when he criticized Jan 6, I immediately hoped you'd write about that--thank you! I know Tucker's interview style is laissez-faire, but I'd hoped on some pushback from him on both topics.
My wife, 20-something daughter and I flew to DC for the 11/14 demonstrations and saw the same happy, engaging, singing, proud American crowd. When I suggested attending J6, I was easily talked out of it as we’d just gone. Thank God we didn’t go. “Our” (LOL) government would have ruined the lives of all three of us.
