God had in mind to give us His Word in English from the beginning. I don't speak Hebrew or Greek and neither do most people in the world. But I understand the mind of Christ because I study his word, rightly divided, in the only uncopyrighted Bible God said he would preserve forever.
"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth purified seven times... Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."
