I'm leaving the city to move to 80 forgotten, undeveloped acres, in part to help my aging parents. Also being a wilderness traveler and gardener, I can see that despite the "environmentalists" and their hyper regulation, the waters of Minnesota have never been more widely polluted, and pollinator numbers have never been so low. But I never hear a word about any of that from most of the "environmental" people I know, it is only "CLIMATE CHANGE"!!! which is mostly anti-science to crush the deplorables. The renewable utopia to me, with all the batteries and mining and nuclear required, is the antithesis of ecological, far more devastating to the biosphere than fossil fuels. I have seen some of the spittle that flies when I point that out.
But there is hope. In the way of collapsing empires, the barbarians eventually wake up realizing they surround the cities and then they starve them out.
I've been noticing in a lot of the small towns in the region I grew up in central Minnesota, a kind of vibrancy, which is a nice change from the infrastructure degradation of the city juxtaposed with brand new condo buildings popping up only the professional class can afford, who are precisely the people bailing out of the city.
I am so sorry for the relentless persecution that you have somehow been able to rise above and overcome the physical and psychological assault. Good on you! I don't doubt that you had God's assistance. The battle between good and evil is ramping up and we watch the process with faith knowing that God and his army of Angles along with us humans who love Him will prevail in the end.
I've been urging everyone I can to read your book. Borrowed it from the library but had to buy my own copy because of all the parts I underlined to quote . :) Almost all of what you've written we in the forest industry knew bits and pieces of but you put it together and made it sing. And I tell people when you realize just what they've done and are still doing to use for over 40 years it makes you sick and mad enough tp start thinking about how many undecorated lampposts there are by government buildings.
How does attacking you make a profit? What's the system? I understand how an oil company profits from drilling, and lobbying, and influencing public opinion. Or how a timber company profits from exploiting old-growth forests, or marine industries from overfishing. We could discuss short-term vs. long-term issues, of course, but the role of money as a motivator seems clear.
Usually it takes money to motivate a coherent effort with as many disparate elements as you describe. I'm trying to follow the money, and I'm not seeing it. What am I missing?
They aren’t or rather, weren’t motivated by profit, see last week’s piece. It was more religious fervour. They had phone trees, and were very very upset that their established refuge or staging place was being exposed as a selfish scam based on crap science. The Suzuki organization was powerful on the coast then and they were hopping mad too. Activists work their phone trees for everything, it is called participatory democracy. The stalkers were attracted by the hate. It was easy for them.
So it's more the madness of crowds than the lining of pockets.
What do you think, does it qualify as a Mass Formation? Loyalty to a collective that claims to represent a worthy cause becoming stronger than loyalty to, or concern for, or compassion for, actual human beings?
And what does one do in response, other than give up on the human race?
I guess it is, but it is based in a deep wish for a better world, and a belief that this must be forced via any means necessary. All our arts are based in this wish. In political action because so much of what they want is irrational, they have to force it and do things they should be ashamed of. I am not even slightly worried now that people are waking from the consumerist trance of the last 40 years and finding meaning in making things right.
Gut wrenching, Lizzie. Just remember, you are not alone. Many, many of us care about you. Should things heat up on SS Island you can always come here. Liz and I can put you two up if need be. I’m serious.
Wow. I wish I was your neighbor. I would bring food just to spend time listening to you expound details of your journey. Hopefully your Mom was spared the nightgown wandering. I pray the millions with their backs against the wall are victorious and we live to see a fresh dawn.
Fight on. We all sacrifice our peace. This country and our lives are worth every sleepless night. I'm with you and have had many myself. Keep at it. God wins in the end. Never forget that. They can't touch our sovereignty.
You raised a really interesting point, among many. But their backs are against the wall in a way they never have been in fifty years. As are ours. There is no graceful exit from this fight.
Beautifully said. Thank you for your courage. We’re all with backs against the wall. They’re about to find out what it’s like to wage war against people who have nothing to lose.
thank you - I'm not the only one now, Eric for one. I started reading your health piece - fab saved the rest to read slowly.
I'm in.

Writing about this now. The climate changers are all horrid grifters. Most people are leaving to actually walk the walk.

Exactly, it is happening everywhere I believe.

I am sure. thank you.

Thank you…..what you say is truth and that it is intensely terrifying is a necessity. The gloves are off!
