I rode out on a UC Davis extension course 3-day wild horse (photographic) hunt in NV just NE of Bishop, CA many years ago. UCD is the principal ag school in the UC system and is near Sacrademento, CA.
Because it was an extension course, we had a prof as the instructor / speaker around the campfire after dinner. He had long done consulting on grass as a sideline and described a job he’d done w/ TNC.
TNC had bought some pastureland from a rancher after convincing the rancher that the grass would be much better, more native, if his cows didn’t graze it. So he sold it to them. TNC brought in the consultant (UCD prof) to try to understand why, on the rancher’s side of a fence separating the holdings, the grass was green, normal, “grassy,” while on the TNC side of that same fence line the grass was thick, woody, not “grassy” at all even though the grazing cattle no longer were “destroying” it.
Simple: grass in the west evolved with the ruminants. If the grass wasn’t grazed, it became unhealthy, woody, just as you see here.
TNC: ignorance masquerading as science, destroying lands & economies wherever they go.
"I have not found, in a decade of searching, one authentically rural region to which they have not brought decline."
That line stuck in me because I see it as the "all cause mortality" parameter of the issue. I've been (like others I am sure) deeply interested in the mRNA crimes that have been shoved in to most of the bodies in the world. During the whole prelude up to and after the crime we got nothing but "Safe and Effective" and "you're saving lives and protecting grandma". But after the lies and the constant rosy talk comes the all cause mortality statistics that tell us that ALL OF IT was nothing but a carefully orchestrated lie to get people to comply.
Seems like the same is happening in rural USA and probably Canada. Lots of nice flowery talk of "we're stewards of the land and want to save it for our kiddies yada yada yada". But in the end you find it was a carefully planned decades in the making program to rob you of your water rights then your land then your whole way of life. All cloaked in flowery deceptive lies. Who doesn't want to save granny? Who doesn't want to preserve nature.
But when you look to the bottom line
"I have not found, in a decade of searching, one authentically rural region to which they have not brought decline."
I learned "all cause mortality" from Ed Dowd one of the early warning soldiers of the war. He wrote a book about it (which I shamefully have not read but think I understand the implication) that tells how the "all cause mortality" spiked AFTER injections. PARTICULARLY for the presumed healthy working age cohort. If that is not a signal nothing is because people just assume old farts will die one way or another. But when you spike the mortality in the working age youth AND EVEN IN THE KIDDIES it is "Houston, We've got a problem". Except they chose to ignore it and colleges like the local Rutgers (same town as J&J) foisted mandates on college age kids when it is known that they have no risk and that young college age males are the bull's eye for mRNA induced myocarditis.
I am sure they've added to the statistical revelations since that book but recently I think he went back to his core competence of managing money. The point was made. Lots of the "all cause mortality" statistics and talk came from the insurance companies. They don't care why you died only THAT you died AND AT WHAT RATE. Insurance companies have a maniacal grasp of mortality statistics because they've been doing it hundreds of years and that is how they GUARANTEE they will make money betting on your mortality.
When I used too program it was some times VERY hard to come up with a index that reliably and somewhat accurately measured what it was we wanted the program to respond to. We had to come up with complex Boolean equations to find a flag which would serve that purpose. All cause mortality in the case of mRNA and "over time they only achieve decline" are similar remorseless objective measures of what you are looking for. ALL the chafe is removed and in the end you have a measure of "DID IT WORK" and "DID IT IMPROVE THINGS"
We "measure" things on faith but mostly greed. If the $$$ keep rolling in you don't care that the all cause mortality is sky rocking. Same with land "management". If you present yourself as idealistic stewards and everyone doing the "stewardship" is living way comfortable and getting wine and cheese and atta boy's based on dollar boosted cult beliefs you aren't going to be that interested in the fact that everywhere you go with your education and superiority things GET WORSE rather than better because YOUR needs are met but the community you said you were serving is ruined.
I will check it out. Suspect it is in line with stuff I have heard from Edward Dowd who has been MY guiding light on the "all cause mortality issue". I suspect all of them agree in principle. I think Edward Dowd looked more at post clot shot injection stats relative to normal and from what you say Rancourt looked more closely at pre-clot shot data. It is all part of the big picture that shows the lie and the egregious crime purposely inflicted on humanity so as to loot and cull it.
Denis and his team published several papers. I think you will appreciate his work.
"Rancourt's work, notably a 130-page analysis co-authored with others and published in September 2023, claims that the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines was associated with a significant increase in all-cause mortality across 17 countries in the Southern Hemisphere.
The study introduced the concept of the "all-ages vaccine-dose fatality rate (vDFR)" to estimate the proportion of inferred vaccine-induced deaths relative to vaccine doses administered, suggesting a risk 1,000 times higher than reported in official statistics."
The frightening thing is that drama is still playing out. We don't really know how much premature death will be the result as the future unfolds. All cause mortality statistics and mortality spikes being what they are, comparisons to a moving windowed averages may show "all cause mortality" spikes reducing as the higher mortality becomes the new norm. Hard to see a "signal" when the new norm is what used too be abnormal. You can dig this stuff out but it is not easy. Statistical guys and insurance actuary guys get paid the big bucks because it is really hard when you get in to the weeds. Dependent on how you parse it you can lie and tell the truth almost as easily from the same data and as we know we've been lied to big time all along.
We also have to consider the "reduced quality of life" possibilities. IE you live more or less just as long but you are disabled relative to the previous norm for your demographic, genetics etc. You don't spike the "all cause mortality stats" because you survive more or less just as long except you are miserable and disabled. I know Ed Dowd made mention of looking at disability rates which addresses this aspect a bit. Far as I know disability has gone WAY up FOR PEOPLE IN THEIR WORKING PRIME. I think he said something along the lines of "it's dangerous to be young and in the prime of your working years" because many of those were forced to take the shots and were disabled or killed as a result.
In some cold ways of looking at things it may be as bad or worse for society to be disabled rather than killed because from a resources impact a dead person is just that, dead and buried, assets redistributed and move on. But people who are productively disabled at prime working age are a 2-3x impact at least. You lose their productivity AND you have to take care of them which loses the productivity of those that must care for them.
If you want to destroy people and their society DISABLE rather than kill a bunch of them. If you look at things in terms of war which I believe it is, the generals could determine there is greater impact in DISABLING much of society than in just killing them outright. That way the survivors are in a desperate struggle to survive themselves while caring for the unwell.
This is the sort of thing we see unfolding as the Autism stats go towards the stratosphere. MANY OF THOS FUTURE ADULT AUTISTIC KIDS WILL LIVE LONG LIVES and require care beyond the lives of their parents. Their families if they have any will be expected to take up the slack and will be impacted or destroyed themselves. OR they will abandon them. It is a terrifying slow motion train wreck that is unfolding before our eyes and yet they are lollygagging as to stopping the autism epidemic. I know people with autistic kids and they wonder what's going to become of them. The parents get bankrupted (looted for pharma) and eventually if the numbers get high enough SOCIETY gets bankrupted. All looted for pharma. LOTTA LOOTING FOR PHARMA GOING ON!!! In the end this path is not going to be pretty for ANYONE. The complacency as the evidence of disabling harm skyrockets is shocking.
I quit my membership after I saw a banner along the interstate in Kansas announcing their agreement with the federal government to manage their holdings in Kansas.
I'm sad to read this. I always thought that Nature Conservancy was one of the few unblemished causes around, just trying to save a few acres here and there for natural beauty to be preserved and birds and wildlife to thrive in.
Welcome back, it appears that rested and renewed you return with this bold expose of a problem most of us lemmings knew nothing about. The big point to me is that no one is really for "THE PEOPLE" oligarchs and their Government Puppets will do ANYTHING to fill the gaping hole in their soul and enrich their egos and purses simultaneously.
These morally bankrupt scoundrels do not realize that in carrying out their plans the are destroying the world, in which, they must live OWTH
California cant even save themselves from themselves. There is nothing Trump can do if they don't want to accept it. The absolute retards running the show in California make it impossible. You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink.
And what does Trump being a Democrat before he ran for President have to do with anything? He has always leaned right, but gave to both sides, as do many wealthy. Fund the flavor of the month. Democrats have gone so far left they're shoring up the commies. Nothing wrong with having a brain and deciding to get the hell out.
Actually Trump may have been a Democrat and crossed over, but that is not salient to this discussion except he supports the “rich oligarchy class” in secret, way more than his MAGA base and below.
Though I agree on that, the Trump Administration was not “in charge” when the legal action was first mounted by TNC with big time Silicon Valley Tech Money behind them, in the removal of the cattle ranchers (both beef and dairy) in West Marin/Point Reyes National Seashore.
I think El Presidente Trump even knows about all the shenanigans the various ‘agencies’ of the U.S. Government have been up to that weren’t that great!
It’s very interesting to me that the aim is water rights. And there’s a lot of discussion over the amount of water needed for data centers and more needed in the future as AI explodes onto the market. Is there a correlation?
Thanks for the reminder, FJ — So overwhelmed w/ keeping up w/ the Badlands fellowship’s tgrams & briefs & SUCH! that I’d missed this C&C (always excellent & pithy!).
I want to comment on that related C&C post on AI centers & the power, water & land hogging, if I may…
I think the entire thing can be done by designing them below ground & recycling the water for common use — Rural Grazing, farming, orchard & town land above, and irrigation and river/stream, lake & natural landscape water re-supplied.
Heat can also be shunted up top for geothermal distribution to residences, etc; SMRs — & soon, Plasma Torch technology — can be built adjacent, w/ enough surplus energy for common above-ground needs, as well.
The technology & know-how for an elegant, ENHANCING system is here, now, if very intelligently & consciously done….Why their execution is so clunky & destructive is beyond me.
Thank you…it makes sense there would be better solutions for recycling the water! So far, the solutions you highlight haven’t been implemented as far as I know (which admittedly isn’t the last word!)
I’ve lost track of the source but since you mentioned plasma technology, I recall reading about plasma tech being used to reduce landfill waste back to usable elements.
I rarely engage. Too much to read — plus my old ph won’t allow the substack app & since their updates my stack reading can only be done in email. When I click on the link in the email feed it blocks the piece & goes to the comms! So, I can’t make a comment directly to the piece & can only ‘like’ replies to my own replies! Creatively making do😂. …It does curb excess commenting, but, again, E Nickson is so great & these comms are also worthwhile reading.
I could not help but smile at the virtual meetup with an old friend & compatriot here — and a Jeff reader too! (…I’ve honed, refined & limited my go-tos to a few trusted & sterling sources — But gave up Jeff’s comms; they are too many & became like all-day suckers! In the case of much of the Badlands gang, goofy sometimes 🙄, but brilliant & proven sanity rescuers, & I love them & so many of their stalwart followers too. )
May God Bless you, mi amigo — & Elizabeth & all here too!
I have an older phone also and when I’ve had issue with substack it seems to resolve when I cave in and allow the Apple system updates - if I get a couple updates behind, substack doesn’t work so great. I don’t use the app - got used to the browser version instead.
Yes, Elizabeth is an amazing writer and investigative reporter! 👍
ABSOLUTELY! Is AI worth destroying even more of our NATURAL ENVIRONMENT/WATER for??? HELL NO! Especially when it's no more 'INTELLIGENT' THAN THE PEOPLE CONTROLLING IT! It puts too much power into the hands of tech giants as it is. Ie. Elon Musk, look into what he did to Memphis, TN. Sickening and he should be behind bars but we know that will never happen. And so do they and THAT'S THE PROBLEM!
Yes! Permitted for 15 methane gas turbines but installing 35! creating worsening respiratory issues with a huge increase in pollution.
I don’t understand why we need so many AI data centers. If AI is so great why not task it solely with solving energy problems first - like solving for zero point energy field; free unlimited source of energy!? The simple answer: there is money in gathering data on everyone but free energy from the zero point energy field? that threatens corporate wealth from energy…so let’s just build more nuclear power plants instead = $$$
Thank you Feather! Great to see someone else who is so awake! AI requires OBSCENELY MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF ENERGY TO RUN. As far as I'm concerned it's also a huge massive SCAM that we could all well do without. It brings nothing but trouble.
Yup. Water should be taxed to install desalination plants on the coasts and the pipelines to move the desalinated water inland to those paying the tax.
"Simple: grass in the west evolved with the ruminants. If the grass wasn’t grazed, it became unhealthy, woody, just as you see here." -I'll add to this: Dung left by grazing cows enriches the soil and feeds benficial insects and wildlife. Simply: Land denied inputs of the natural cycle such as the activities of wildlife and animals, leave it bereft of nutrients supporting a whole and vigorous life. Thank you for this enlightening post!
Think of the World Wildlife Fund. It was established by the Royals way back when to make damn sure that when the Royals went hunting the wildlife would be there.
Lot've us fooled by the documenTarries of Sir David Attenborough & the monkeyshines of Dame Jane Goodall (all skool-approved in the context of eduMUCKation)-- 'twas all eugenics an' "takin' back" the land (haha) inta "Royal Protection?" That joke wuz on we plebes! They TOOK US alright!
I recently read what was ostensibly a work of fiction entitled "The Dark Side of Hunger Mountain" by T H Platt (which I believe I learned about from your column!), where the storyline revolves around the lumber communities and outside intruders in the Pacific Northwest.
One passage in there is "Ingrid looked at Grace. “Contrary to popular belief, we are ruled by treaties and international agreements and that points the finger squarely at the UN’s treaty collection, not DC.” She shook her head. “We’re subservient, a colony. Still.” - and it would seem there is a lot of truth to that. While I, for one, was relieved when the US stepped away from the WHO's "Pandemic Treaty" given that would evidently have given the box checking bureaucrats in Brussels the power to tell US citizens how to behave should we be "surprised" by another pandemic, it would seem that was only the latest in what may be a plethora of similar kinds of treaties about which the US public is completely unaware.
One wonders if light were to be shed on these back office schemes to control from afar, with no thought or understanding or consideration given to the people who actually live in a given area there might be a calling out for the US to cancel those "agreements". For that mater, one wonders what Bernie or Greta would have to say about them...
This is such a sad, horrifying story. Power and money for the thieves. Death to the folks that were deceived and cheated. Breaks my heart 💔 Thanks Elizabeth for reporting truth.
Have I said it before? Well, it bears repeating, so let's say it again- Water 'Scarcity' is a scam. It's nothing more than a Control Mechanism.
A few decades back, I took my Dad out to Norfolk, VA to see the USS Wisconsin, and while we were pouring over the specs, I discovered that the ship was able to desalinate over 100,000 gallons of seawater every day, for the engines & crew.
That got me thinking- If such a thing was possible, using essentially 1930's technology and as a SECONDARY function at that, why wasn't it possible to build 'Water Derricks' on the Oceans, which could desalinate Tens of Millions of gallons (or more) per day?
I found that it was *entirely* feasible, but for some strange reason, it's never been done. The only argument I've found against it was- 'But, but... think of the FISHIES!'
Give me a break. For those at the top it's not even about Money anymore. Control, control, control, it's all about Control.
I know nothing about water stats but I do know that allowing any and all water sources to be polluted threatens ALL LIFE ON EARTH AND IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!
Elizabeth, thank you for the passionate education. Not being a farmer, I must admit that I don't understand all of this, but I do know when things ain't right. The Cabal is stealing everything they can from us-- the water, the food, and, somehow, they will steal the air (that they polluted) from us. I remember when beef, chicken were cheap and plentiful. Now, with the population expanded, we only have the same amount of steer that we had in the 60's. Fruit and produce used to be abundant and reasonably priced. Now the prices are astronomical (thanks to "factory farms"), the quality poo,r and much of it is imported. To add insult to injury, a lot of food is being exported. And, how about the Chinese owning much of our pork production?
What have our elected representatives been doing? Obviously, not much to benefit the people. We have lost much food production, along with factory production. We produce nothing (it used to be quality), but import foreign junk. We have lost our country and are losing our lives. What is Trump, the GOP really doing for us? Data centers, space adventures, digital money-- none of it really benefits us.
We are running down a bumpy road, heading towards a deadly cliff. Our time, the Republic's time is rapidly passing. Don't be deceived-- we are in real trouble. If we, the people, don't take things back under our control very shortly, we are doomed.
I’ve noted previously an experience with TNC.

Range Magazine showed many photos like the one you described. Grazed vs. ungrazed.
The editorial staff of Range Magazine knows more about land management than the entire staff of the BLM.

great comment! Notice how we never hear about all-cause mortality rates. One ten year chart could prove what a farce it all was.
ONE HUNDRED PERCENT AGREE WITH YOU.

You must check out Denis Rancourt's (and team) work on all cause mortality. He looked at all cause mortality data from around the world and found....there never was a pandemic. The deaths started when the measures were rolled out... https://fcpp.org/2024/08/02/dr-denis-rancourt-unveiling-all-cause-mortality-a-critical-analysis-of-the-pandemic-declaration-and-vaccination-rollout/

Where is the Trump Administration during the sellout of the dairy farmers at Point Reyes National Seashore in California?
Go ahead and blame Trump. You mentioned California? Enough said.
National Park Service… federal
Trump was a Democrat until he ran for election. Enough said.

Nope nothing at all. In fact I'm a Canadian. I'm just not so blinded by TDS that I can't think straight.
Then you have a similar problem with CDS.

Yeah maybe through a ‘Big Donor’, who has his ear.
I think El Presidente Trump even knows about all the shenanigans the various ‘agencies’ of the U.S. Government have been up to that weren’t that great!
And during the cloud seeding floods, the wildfires and Chemtrails???
Amen to that! What happened out at the Point Reyes National Seashore in west Marin County, with the cattle ranchers out there!
Probably in the rooting box.
It’s very interesting to me that the aim is water rights. And there’s a lot of discussion over the amount of water needed for data centers and more needed in the future as AI explodes onto the market. Is there a correlation?
Coffee&Covid - Jeff Childers write about this yesterday.
“In a state (Texas)so dry it’s cracking, the real moisture vampires aren’t farmers or even the climate— it’s Big Tech.”

Again, ABSOLUTELY! Less than 3 weeks before the floods Texas Governor Abbott approved the sites for Data Centers!

Where would we be without?
🙏🏼✝️🕊💌
Wonderful comment, Dick!
God Bless you too, my friend

We don't need so many AI data centers. Read https://omega4america.substack.com/ to understand why...
Yup. Water should be taxed to install desalination plants on the coasts and the pipelines to move the desalinated water inland to those paying the tax.
Or we should abolish geoengineering and allow nature to dictate where the rains fall. https://geoengineeringwatch.org/
Amen 🙏 stay away from ALL vaccines, artificial foods and seed oils, AI and cell phones!
The ruminants evolved with the grass.
Grass is more likely to evolve than mammals.
Simply put, a brilliant, complex, eye-opening essay. Thank you.
Wow, two posts in two days! Welcome back from vacation, love your work
Another eye opening missive, Ms Nickson!
F Bernie. And Greta.
Great article. Thank you. It’s good to be reminded how much those financialized watermelons need spiked.
I couldn't agree w you more FF!
