Most British officers (Ruperts) come out of Sandhurst, where they're trained, and think they are Gods, in my experience. The really good ones are those that have come up through the ranks without a university degree.

Good point! College professors, especially at state institutions, are much more careful than they were just 10 years ago about spewing out propaganda and vitriol instead of their subject knowledge. I was always impressed when I was around Canadian infantry, British SAS and Australian SAS. Didn't operate with them except to participate in an end of phase training in Australia. Just a note I mean the blokes in the British SAS, not the officers.

Most British officers (Ruperts) come out of Sandhurst, where they're trained, and think they are Gods, in my experience. The really good ones are those that have come up through the ranks without a university degree.
British troops were the only ones there on day one and still there on the last day in WWII Russia was in league with Germany in invading Poland, the USA, which came later, and the Russians all helped in defeating Germany, as of course did the resistance movement in European countries, but let's not sugarcoat it.

Good point! College professors, especially at state institutions, are much more careful than they were just 10 years ago about spewing out propaganda and vitriol instead of their subject knowledge. I think they realize that students will fight back. And admins have started firing professors due to uproar from students and their parents. (Just look at people being let go tbis week because of their online posts celebrating this horrible tragedy.) Also the reduction of tenured track positions has helped.

Yes, I'm not entirely buying it either. If you watch Charlie Kirk's September 15th 2023 podcast, he reads an email whereby him, Bannon, Carlson and others lives are threatened.
